After a hard day of sight-seeing, we came back to Georg and Gisela's home for a few beers and dinner. Gisela knew that asparagus was one of my favorites and white asparagus was "in season". We stopped by a roadside stand and bought the asparagus as we drove home. Gisela went to work preparing dinner including the best soup that I have ever eaten....no question about it or exaggeration in that statement! The herbs came from her home garden. I was almost paralyzed with ecstasy as I ate the soup. The rest of the dinner included more asparagus and other extraordinarily tasty items.....a dinner to remember.
