Germany - Day 2 Part II - Walking Along The Rhine River

The Rhine River is just a few blocks from Georg & Gisela's home. There is a nice park alongside the river so we went for a walk.

The river is busy with barge traffic, river cruise boats, and recreational boating.

A river cruise boat.

There is a ferry boat that take people from one side of the river to the other. There is a strong demand for the ferry due to a large Bayer plant being located in Leverkusen.

The river is a great place to get a little sun.

Or read a book.

An old car came across on this ferry trip.

Swans seem to be attracted to ferry's.

The park is very nice.

We had to stop for a photo op with a bronze mariner.

We walked a long ways and were tired and thirsty, but we managed to bypass the Biergarten so we could get back home and have a cold one there.

Day 3 is up next.
