Wellington is the capital of New Zealand. As you can see there are logs on the dock here, as there have been in so many ports, alongside the sports stadium. Not far from here, the movie "Lord of the Rings" was shot. We toured the downtown area by bus.....not much fun.
We then traveled to the Storm Coast to visit a sheep station and have lunch. The beaches here were littered with drift wood and larger rocks rather than sand.
A nice home on top of the mountain with a panoramic ocean view. We had lunch in a large dining area. You can rent rooms here and enjoy the view while staying cozy around a large fireplace.
Another sheep herding demo using a dog who had to take care of business before messing with the sheep.
Sigrid and I love visiting light houses....even if they are small.
We can always find a flower somewhere.
An inter island ferry going from Wellington to Picton.
