A/NZ - At Sea - Day 9

We are headed for Lautoka, Fiji today. Days at sea are nice because they let you relax a little from the shore excursions and give me time to do a little Face Booking and Photoshop work on the many photos we have taken.

The activities planned by the ship's crew are non-stop even when we are in port. Not everyone gets off the boat at every stop. I find it hard to imagine travelling to a tropical paradise and not getting off the ship to enjoy it, but some do.

I have to admit that there are a few on the boat who make me wonder why they are here at all. They seem to old and disabled to do much of anything. If they are enjoying themselves and have the money to cruise, it really isn't my business. Maybe I should applaud them for working hard to enjoy life as much as they can.

Speaking of activities, the calendar for today has 65 individual opportunities to learn and have fun. This includes exercise programs, computer workshops, games of all kinds, wine tastings, cooking classes, travel seminars, dance lessons (Rumba for Beginners), open casino, sports tournaments, and music and dancing in the evening (classical with a string quartet, piano bar sing along, jazz, pop/rock with a DJ and live bands, and an Amber Jade (Australian star)Concert......too much to take full advantage of for one person. You never get bored on a cruise if you get out of your cabin.
