Our Blog Activity Update

We have had tons of activity since the last report. Postings on our recent cruise created most of the new activity. Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific Islands are locations of extreme interest around the world as you can see below. The frustrating thing about the blog activity map is that it resets about every month and we lose the older information. We now have six different maps and no way to see the information combined.

Here is a list of countries that recent blog views originated from. You will have to click on the image to enlarge it due to the small text. After the U.S., Germany has 267 views (our friends and family mostly), Australia has 132, and New Zealand has 79. There are 48 different countries on the list.
We are extremely happy to be able to share our adventures with so many people and provide them with information and encouragement to visit the places in our blog.

Seeing this list reminds me of my childhood fascination with my father's collection of QSL card from around the world. He was an Amateur Radio Operator (Ham) and traded contact information with new people he talked to via the postcard sized QSL card. Some of the cards were like picture postcards and I loved looking at them and fantasizing about traveling to the countries on the cards. My dad kept the cards on a 4 X 8 sheet of plywood mounted on a wall behind his radio and it was covered. Ah.....the memories.
