The Painted Church is another of our favorite places to visit on the BI. The first photo is of the cemetery which is in front of the church.
The church's interior is completely covered in murals of the life of Christ and other biblical events.
A memorial to Father Damien (1849-1889) is at the front of the church. I believe that he was the founder of the church.
