Fawns are born between May and July of each year. We knew that there were a number of pregnant does last winter so we have anxiously awaited their debut this spring. This morning, we saw the first one and then a second smaller fawn in the afternoon. I think there are more to come. Does keep their fawn's hidden immediately after birth until they are good at walking and running. This one is probably several weeks old and already nibbling on grass.
