Missouri Town 1855 Fall Festival - 2021

We visited the Missouri Town 1855 Fall Festival on October 2, 2021.  This is an annual event that features crafts, food, music, costumes, and and a recreated village from the 1855 period.  The dates for 2022 are October 1 and 2.

The event is lots of fun for kids as well as being very educational.

Here is the website for Missouri Town 1855.   https://www.makeyourdayhere.com/Events-Attractions/Historic-Sites/Missouri-Town-1855

Our friend Edel and Sigrid waiting for me to join them after parking the car in the field that serves as a parking lot.

All the performers and crafts people wear period clothing to add an air of authenticity to the event.

Musical performances are continuous across the entire town.

They also have modern portable toilets for the guests.

Making cedar shakes for roofing.

In addition to the baled hay, there are plenty of picnic tables at the center of the food court.

Kids can ride in the Sheriff's wagon.

Cooking over a wood fire.

Spinning yarn.

Making paper.

One of many 1855 period things to do for the kids.

Hot apple cider.
