Today we fly to the Big Island of Hawaii. It is only a 30 minute flight but by the time you mess with the rental car and baggage on both ends it eats up about four hours.
Once on the Big Island, we will be busy exploring, so there may not be another new blog for a day or so. I am still behind on Maui by a couple of days.
One thing I wanted to mention on the Lana'i post, was that I got a parking ticket. We were in a hurry to get to the ferry. We parked in public parking but didn't notice the three hour limit sign. When we got back, many of the cars, including ours, were decorated with parking tickets complete with self-addressed return envelops. The fine is $60. What a rip-off. Parking is miserable in Lahaina so be careful if you go there.
